Berks Park 183 had two great signs of progress this month, one of them literally! First, the new sign directing traffic for the park to use 183 was installed. See pics below. Second, and more important, was the approval by Bern Township for preliminary land development for the remaining two lots.
Preliminary land development approval is a crucial and, in some ways, harder step than final land development approval. With this in place, it now means BerksIDA and its team have clear direction on a design that will meet both the goals of our organization and those of the Township.
It is not the finish line, but instead marks the race for us to complete. BerksIDA is now hard at work getting the necessary approvals outlined in the plan. With them in place, we expect to start construction on the improvements starting Q2 2027.
Once complete with the improvements, everything will be in place to build two manufacturing buildings on the site of ~60k SF and ~100k SF, respectively.
